1. use an interceptor warp to a normal safe spot the mwd up or down, the time it takes a ship to probe you and warp to you, you have moved maybe 3000km and are off grid so they cant catch you they will only find where you were.
2. deep space probes drop a probe then wap to one of the hits it gets, due to the inaccuracy of these probes they will leave you about 150-200 au from the target and off grid.
200 au safe spots are not impossible to brake but will take a long time to brake them and the person will have to have astro 5 to find you.
3. cloak the start slowboating down or up.
4. warp to a complex gate then mwd in the the direction the acceleration gate would take you. do this for about 5 mins. you are now as safe as it is possible to be. if they probe you if will warp them to the complex acceleration gate as you are actually in the area of the complex. you cant bm this location but you are safe till you log off.
5. bookmark missions as they are normally off grid so take a long time to probe out.
hope this helps
This post is so inaccurate and wrong I simply can't be bothered to rip it to pieces. It's that wrong...
Ummm actually most of it is right. 1) Wrong (Doesn't work i Tried) 2) Works 3) Works 4) Hard to Say, your MWD to the complex enterence, But Saying this also means that you can't be found by probes in dead space which i think it true 5) Also Correct
Pwned
A grid is simply a section of space, so a system is made up of a collection of grids. When you go off the grid, you don't go off all the grids, you simply move from one to another. Scan probes take this into account and I've busted loads of safes that by the definition given by the poster simply just is inaccurate.
1) doesn't work - yes you could have moved 3000km from the start time of using 192s to the end time of 3 3au, but it doesn't work like that. In practice you're only going to be moving for about a minute, maybe 90 seconds from the last set of 3au's, which will slap you at about oooh, 150-200km from your target if they are MWDing at a decent rate. Makes it quite easy to catch up from this point. 2) is complete inaccurate, for the reasons outlined about grids 3) ok, cloaking I'll let him off 4) ok, this I'll let him off as well. 5) Same stuff about grid. DSO ftw...
and notice I didn't say incorrect, I just mostly inACCURATE. thats not to say that doing what he said isn't better than doing nothing.
I think you need to do some more research concerning option number 2. He has outlined the standard procedure for making deep safespots.
100% secure? No. Way out there forcing the use of the big boy probes? Yes.
No offense, but you owe the man an apology.
Patch day always brings out the same 2 types of people. 1: "I'm an IT expert in RL, and they have done this all wrong" type. 2: "I'm a paying customer, fix it immediately or I quit" type. |
